New gigabit broadband launched in York – available to 44K residents

A new gigabit broadband service is launching in York today.

About 43,900 residents can already access it, Zen Internet says, “with thousands more households being added every month.”

Zen has partnered with CityFibre, digital infrastructure providers across the UK, to implement the initiative.

Zen Internet CEO Paul Stobart said, “By 2030, everyone will be on full fiber. Today, however, York residents can get a head start by accessing Zen’s award-winning service delivered over CityFibre’s high-quality infrastructure.

“Be named the only who? Recommended Broadband Provider for two consecutive years and Top of the Ranking for seven years demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with high quality service.

Kim Johnston, Regional Manager for CityFibre in York, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Zen to our comprehensive fiber network in York as part of a growing list of ISPs.

“This provides consumers with increased choice when selecting broadband packages and I look forward to more and more people taking advantage of the benefits our scalable digital infrastructure has to offer.”
